Japan was truly a great experience. It was surprising how innovative things were there. I was blessed to travel with a friend and we planned many cool stops. By far my two favorites were the Nara deer park and Team Labs Planet in Tokyo.
We met a lot of interesting people through our journey from Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. Being able to go to Super Mario world in Osaka was super cool also. I was really surprised by the quality of food in the convenience stores. Familymart was my favorite convenience store.
We also got to try Kobe beef, and while it was expensive it was really tasty. I feel I should have learned more Japanese beforehand, but most people were very polite and helpful. I also really liked the GoldenGai area of Tokyo as it was nice to have a pint with some friends.
I wish I was able to bring stuff back from Tokyo but more on that in my next post.
